We have a tradition @ VB1 which is taken from the story of Joshua as the children of Israel crossed the Jordan river to enter the promised land.
We encourage our people to take a river stone from two piles on the corners of our stage and write their petition to the Father. We suggest taking that stone home and placing it in a prominent place to remind them to pray for that request. When God answers that prayer, we bring the stone back into the sanctuary where we stack it with others, representing prayers He has answered, in front of the people. Together we REMEMBER, RECOUNT, REJOICE and RENEW with God and each other. These stones testify of the grace of our God and remain before us as a memorial of His faithfulness.
