OUR PASTORS
Marlon & Bobbie Jo

Marlon King was born in Paris, Kentucky and has been in
full-time ministry for over 30 years. These ministries have
included roles of pastor, missionary, church planter, and
trainer/mentor to other pastors. His life goal is to disciple
and mentor missional leaders who will plant, develop, and
grow, multiplying indigenous, holiness churches. His life
verse is 2 Corinthians 4:5-7, “For what we preach is not
ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your
servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, ‘Let light shine
out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the
face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay to
show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.”

Bobbie Jo King was born in Vinton, Virginia and has served the Lord in many capacities over the years. She was a teacher, a missionary, a prayer pastor, children’s pastor, youth pastor, and worship team leader. She now serves as Associate Pastor.
Pastors Marlon and Bobbie Jo have been pastors at VB1Naz
since October 14, 2012. Their story is unique and one that
truly demonstrates the mercies of God. Should you ever get
the opportunity to talk with them about their story, they would tell you that Proverbs 16:9 (NASB) is true! “The mind of man plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
Kay Lynn
Pastor Kay Lynn Perry, a native Texan, has lived in Virginia Beach with her husband Steve for eight years. She joined the staff of VB1 in January 2021 as the Executive Pastor. She also works at Regent University, and is a freelance theatre director in the community. She and Steve have three adult children, a cat, and two turtles.
Bill
Pastor Bill Dillon retired in January 2020 after 44 years of pastoral ministry. After joining VB1, he became part of our pastoral staff in December, 2020. Even in retirement, he continues to invest himself into the lives of our congregation. He finds joy in singing in the worship team and relaxation in chasing a little white ball around the golf course.
